Wet n Wild Coverall: How does it stand up?

A month or two ago I ran across the Wet n Wild Coverall line at a drugstore sale. I love cheap makeup because it doesn't break the bank & I can try many things. So I decided why not give it a shot? I bought the cream foundation & pressed powder. The were out of fair in the cream foundation so I got Light/Medium C817 and the powder in Fair 821.
I'll review the foundation first:

PROS:
It cost only $3.99 and your local drugstores are bound to have BOGO 50% OFF sales at least once a month on Wet n Wild.
The coverage was very good.
It lasts all day.
It is a very buildable product.
Feels like you are not wearing makeup.
Matte finish.

CONS:
Slightly too dark. I really do need the Fair shade & will get it when it comes in stock.
The squeeze tube can give you too much product. Be careful!

OVERALL:
I love this foundation. I personally feel like it is a drugstore dupe to Kat Von D's Lock-it Tattoo Foundation. At only $3.99 it is definitely worth getting.

Next is the Pressed Powder:

PROS:
Costs only $2.99.
Adds coverage.
Feels lightweight.
Can be worn with other foundations.

CONS:
I use too much if I use the sponge in the compact.
Powder cracks easily in compact if dropped.

OVERALL:
This product is also amazing. Helps keeps a matte face & doesn't feel heavy. Worth $2.99.

If you are looking for a drugstore dupe of Kat Von D's Lock-it Tattoo Foundation or just a buildable foundation that won't feel heavy & cakey try this line. It's affordable & you can generally get it BOGO 50% OFF at drugstores like CVS, Walgreen's, & Rite Aid.

NO MAKEUP:

JUST COVERALL FOUNDATION:

COVERALL POWER OVER FOUNDATION:
FINISHED LOOK (blush, mascara, etc):

I plan to buy the entire line:
Liquid Concealer: $2.99

Hard Candy Nail Polish- Easy nail art in one swipe!

I love nail art! But it's expensive to go to a salon to get your nails done & it's hard & time consuming to do yourself. Enter Hard Candy's nail polish. I got the color "Black Tie Optional". This nail polish is awesome. With one to two coats your nails look black & white paint splattered. It also dries pretty fast. It does feel a little rough do to the fact that it IS nail glitter/confetti. This is easily fixed with a clear top coat. I like this product because it makes nail art simple and fast. Perfect if you are pressed for time or live a busy life style. The look isn't too flashy which is great. For $4 this nail polish is definitely worth it! It is only available at Wal-Mart though.

CoverGirl Outlast Stay Fabulous VS Kat Von D Lock-It Tattoo Foundation

Recently my mother told me about a product she used that was compared to Kat Von D Lock-It Tattoo Foundation. The product was CoverGirl Outlast Stay Fabulous. At under $11 I figured it was worth a shot. The foundation wasn't bad by any means but curious I visited a local Sephora to get a small sample of Kat Von D's Lock-It Foundation.
I am by all means a pale girl. My mother is even paler than me. Therefore it is hard to find affordable foundations in our skin tone. Both of these products come in pale shades. But is Lock-It worth $34 a bottle? Well here's comparative Pro's and Con's on each. I'll start with CoverGirl.

CoverGirl Outlast Stay Fabulous-

PRO's:
*Suncreen! Summer is closing in and you want to protect your skin more than ever. SPF 15 is recommended yet this product does even better with SPF 20!
*Coverage. This product did a good job at covering redness and blemishes. I didn't use a concealer below it.
*Lightweight. This product didn't feel like it was clogging my pores.
*Not expensive.

CON's:
*Shade. I own shade 805. I personally find it a slight bit too dark for my skin but no one seemed to notice.
*Not-as-longlasting. The product did last really well but slowly I started getting shiny spots even though I wore a mattifying powder over it.
*Amount needed. It takes about 3-4 pumps to cover my face depending on coverage needed.
*Can look cakey... If you try for heaver coverage the product can look heavy.
*Small-ish bottle. Especially using 3-4 pumps to cover face.
*Claims to have primer built in. A primer is still needed with this product.

Kat Von D Lock-It Tattoo Foundation-

PRO's:
*Shade! I sampled shade Light 42. It has a pink undertone. The shade actually was a bit lighter than I really am (I can probably use Light 44 with beige undertone or Light 46 with pink) but I didn't mind. I popped a little translucent powder over it and loved it.
*Amout needed. A small dab covered my entire face. The sample was VERY small amount (looked like only a couple pumps) but only a small amount was needed! Way less than CoverGirl Outlast.
*Coverage. That small little bit covered EVERYTHING! I have naturally rosy cheeks and therefore shy away from blush. The coverage from this product allowed me to wear blush for once. It also covered my flushing from my nerves during my speech for class that day.
*Didn't look cakey. The product had a nice smooth finish despite my dry skin.
*No synthetic fragrances. Great for sensitive skin.
*LONG LASTING! Wore it for over 12 hours. No oily-ness or wear away. I actually fell asleep in the product and still had great coverage the next morning.

CON's
*No SPF. This can easily be fixed with a lightweight moisturizer with SPF in it.
*Price. At $34 you get a decently large bottle and with 1 pump covering your face I'd say it's worth it.

In the end I definitely think Kat Von D Lock-It Tattoo Foundation is a product that is worth splurging on. You will use less and receive better coverage. In the end you will probably buy enough bottles of  Outlast Stay Fabulous to equal out the cost difference. This product is great for everyday use as well as for photos and it seems preforming. This is one of the few times I will probably ever suggest going to your local Sephora and dropping a lot of money on a make-up product. If you are a bit darker and cannot spend as much on a product at once CoverGirl Outlast Stay Fabulous is a good alternative. It is a good drugstore foundation.

Eyeliner- ScandalEyes by Rimmel London

I love eyeliner. I frequently line my upper and lower waterlines even when I'm not wearing liner on my lids. When I look for a liner I want:
Strong color.
A lightweight liner (after all I don't want to cake it on my waterline...)
Long time wear.
Something that doesn't cause my eyes to water.
Easy application.

Eyeliner is one of my makeup essentials and favorite things to use. Bad point? It's hard to find an eyeliner that is long lasting on my waterline. Blinking and the wetness from your eye generally makes it hard for the liner to stick. But in comes my new favorite liner: The ScandalEyes Waterproof Eyeliner pencil from Rimmel London.
I personally hate dropping a lot of money on makeup. The less it breaks the bank the better. This eyeliner pencil isn't too expensive. I believe I bought mine for just under $4! A steal indeed. Now why is this liner so amazing in my book? Well here's the pros and cons:
PROs:
The eyeliner goes on wonderfully smooth! With almost no pressure and get a solid color from this liner! Perfect for your waterline!
Lightweight. This liner feels like having nothing on.
Speed. I can easily and quickly line both of my upper and lower waterlines with this pencil.

CONs:
This is not an all day liner. It will slowly wear away as the day drags on. Fortunently it wears away more on the inside and my waterlines still look lined. It is also very easy to touch up in a matter of a few seconds should you decide you want to.

I'm not generally a fan of pencil eyeliner but I really like this one. I can generally make it through a school day before I have to reapply it due to it wearing away slightly. I currently own 001 Black and 010 Silver. The silver is WONDERFUL as a highlighter or to wear under a silvery eyeshadow as a primer to boost the color. For under $4 this liner is worth picking up. If you applied an additional coat it would probably last longer or setting it with black shadow could increase wear time.

So pick up Rimmel London's ScandalEyes Eyeliner if you are looking for a great liner that won't break the bank. It can be found at drugstores and Wal-Mart.
